Planning application for 37 houses on Kings Field north
This page gives details of an outline planning application to build 37 new houses on the north half of Kings Field, off Sheepstead Road.
Strutt & Parker submitted an outline planning application on 23 October 2014 to build 40 houses (later reduced to 37 houses) on the northern part of Kings Field..
The Parish Council met on 12 November 2014 to discuss the application. There are concerns that the location is beyond the built up area of the village, and the requirement for residents to be car based as the site was a long way from the school and bus stops. The was also concern about sewerage and drainage provision. Marcham primary school is at capacity and children from the development are likely to have to travel to school outside of the area. The Council voted to object to the application. Please click here to see the complete letter that was sent to VWHDC.
The application was approved on 6th November 2015.
More details about this application can be found on the Vale of White Horse District Council website. The reference number for this application is P14/V2373/O.
